Finland’s state television broadcaster, YLE, has installed NTP Technology’s latest-generation RCCoreV3 software and 635 QNX controller for the NTP 625 audio routing control system at its headquarters in Helsinki. YLE has used NTP digital audio equipment for nearly 10 years in its television and radio operations, including a recent investment in a 625-804 router configured as a 2048 x 2048 matrix with MADI interconnections to third-party audio mixing consoles.

RCCoreV3 is fully compatible with NTP 625-151 controller cards and 635 system controller. The 635 has an integral solid-state server providing fast control and fast access to resources and control applications for large scale installations. Operation is via a network-based infrastructure with all communication based on TCP/IP link protocol and a 10 or 100 megabits per second LAN/WAN interface. When running on the 635 controller, RCCoreV3 allows highly efficient control of the router's dual-backbone interface and supports the double LAN interface on 625-800 frames.
Finland's national public service broadcasting company, YLE (www.yle.fi) operates four national television channels and six radio channels and services complemented by 25 regional radio programmes. YLE's coverage includes news and current affairs, national arts, educational and children's programmes. YLE's services to the public also cover special and minority groups. YLE's operations are financed mainly by television fee, and programming carries no advertising. The company is 99.9 per cent state-owned and supervised by an administrative council appointed by the Finnish parliament.
